This difficult project was dedicated to everyone tarnished by psychological
trauma and an unforgiving society and to my parents, Anna Meringolo and
John Molinari Jr., whose lives were virtually destroyed by war, genetics, and fate.
They have both been here, throughout this mansion of dreams, as I have sensed
their presence.
Mental illness is an important issue, which cannot rest dormant within inner
recesses if responses and attitudes are ever to shift, and for that reason, I have
accomplished what I’ve always craved, or else life would’ve seemed incomplete.
Erica Jong wrote, “Everyone has talent. What is rare is the courage to follow
that talent to the dark place where it leads.â€
