I want people to read my books and with a bit of good luck, enjoy reading them. This was my first book, my fledgling effort, and I think half of it is good. Some of my characters are nicely drawn and compelling, it is meant to be a fun read with erotic and satirical flourishes.

My newer work, Anthology, is light years ahead of this first novel. Writing is a skill that deepens and becomes more resonant as time enriches and informs experience.

I would say this to any prospective reader, if there is anything at all you like about this first effort, you will be stunned by my work during the last ten years.
Many of my readers have said they like my non fiction best. I think all writers fancy themselves poets or novelists, and in all honesty, I wish I had the talent to sustain a long term career as a novelist of great big books.

I am not sure if I do or not. But I do know this: as long as I can construct a sentence, a paragraph, a page that speaks back to me; as long as I can create a character or a scene or a place and time that I believe in, I will continue to write.

Like all great things in life, it only gets better with time, patience, and practice.
