Lisa Corinne Davis is a painter of paintings that occupy a point somewhere between cartooning and cartography, abstraction and figuration. Born in Baltimore, currently living and working in Brooklyn, NY, Davis received her BFA from Pratt Institute, and her MFA from Hunter College. She is currently represented by Leslie Heller Workspace in New York, and Louis Stern Fine Arts in Los Angeles, and is included in many collections, including that of The Museum of Modern Art, and the J.Paul Getty Museum. Before joining the faculty at Hunter College in 2002, Davis taught at the Parsons School of Design, the Cooper Union School of Art, and the Yale University School of Art.
