Sarah Owens Hammock is the author of the two Gator Pervis books, with the newest titled "You Can't Have More Babysitters Than Gator Pervis". In this new beginning reader, Gator continues enjoying being a boy, with the title character being drawn from the boys she grew up with in her hometown of Wewahitchka, Florida. Ms. Hammock is a teacher with Manatee County Schools and also is the Science Camps Director/Instructor for the South Florida Museum.

In addition to writing children's books, Ms. Hammock next venture is one of original poetry, drawing from her Southern roots and continues to write and compile original short stories for one of her future books.
