Doctor Padua is a university professor at the Universty of Puerto Rico, Cayey campus. Poet, novelist and short story writer, has won various important literary awards. Recently has published Aguila, a historic novel that recreates the last years of the XIX century in the Island including the American invasion and military rule due to the Hispanic-American war. Also, his short story book Club de perdedores (The Looser's Club) has been well received by the public. (2 editions). Padua is part of the Guajana Group of Poets, a well respected and well valued poetry collective.
