Dr. Sheldon Rubin graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. He practised veterinary medicine in Chicago for 41 years before retiring from practice in 2009. He was president of the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association in 2009, and president of the American Heartworm Association from 2007-2010.
