K. Ganesh (b. 1955) with academic qualifications B.E, M.B.A., M.Phil (Management). started his professional career at Bharat Electronics Ltd., Bangalore in 1977 as an Engineer and served the organization for about 23 years. He also served as Director (Engineering) at Sasken Communication Technologies Limited, a Communications Software development organization for about 9 years.
He developed interest in numismatics during 1995, and since then has published about 40 papers and nine books. He was honoured by the Karnataka Numismatic Society and the Tirupur Coin Society. His book titled ‘The Coins of Tamilnadu’ was awarded the best numismatic publication for 2002 by the Indian Coin Society. He was chosen as the General President for the South Indian Numismatic Society conference held at Kerala during 2008. He was also awarded the P.L. Gupta Medal by the South Indian Numismatic Society.
