Francisca Suau-Jiménez, Ph.D, is a Senior Lecturer in English Language and Linguistics at the Universitat de Valencia (UV), Spain. She has published books and articles on specialized genres and translation, metadiscourse, discourse analysis and learning strategies, her latest being *La Traducción Especializada en inglés y español en Géneros de Economía y Empresa, 2010, Arco Libros*. At present she is the director of the *Instituto Interuniversitario de Lenguas Modernas Aplicadas* (IULMA: http://www.iulma.es) at the University of Valencia, a research and services institution that attempts to create a link between the university and society in matters related to modern languages. She is currently co-ordinating a corpus linguistics project with the University Abdelmalek Essaâdi in Morocco in order to create a database in English, Spanish, French and Arabic with the aim of making several bilingual dictionaries on Hotel Management. Dr. Suau-Jiménez has taught in the fields of discourse analysis applied to translation, semantics, lexis, business English and English-Spanish translation of science and technology.
