Mark Payne is English and is an IT specialist working and living in the UK just outside of Bristol.

The only book he has written is the novel Carthusian's Prophecy. Other books listed under the same author name have been written by different people also called Mark Payne.

Carthusian's Prophecy is the first novel in a series of seven nominally referred to as the Custodian Series. The second novel is underway.

Mark lives with his wife Alyson and they have one daughter - Carolyn.

It's Mark's dream to retire from IT and write novels full time, but unless and until Carthusian's Prophecy takes off, his dream will remain exactly that.
