Ready Susanto was born in Palembang, December 25, 1967. Graduated from the Department of Journalism Faculty of Communication Science, University of Padjadjaran in 1992. Worked as an editor at the Pustaka Utama Grafiti Publisher, Jakarta (1993-1998), Mizan Publishers, Bandung (1999), and co-founder of Kiblat Buku Utama Publishers, Bandung (2000). Writing fiction and nonfiction in various media since he was in high school. His poems were published in several newspapers such as *Suara Pembaruan, Jayakarta, Bandung Pos*, and *Pikiran Rakyat*, as well as in anthologies *Potret Pariwisata dalam Puisi* (1990) and *Cerita dari Hutan Bakau* (1994). His poetry anthologies are *Surat-surat dari Kota* (2006), *Sepucuk Pesan Ungu* (2007), and *Album Buahhatiku* (2007). Writing several books such as *Osama bin Laden: Jihad Sepanjang Hayat* (2001), *Emotikon: Kamus Gaul Internet* (2002), *Diana: Setelah Kematian* (2003), *100 Tokoh Abad ke-20* (2004), *Gibran for SMS* (2006), *Ensiklopedi Tokoh-Tokoh Wanita* (2008), *Sang Pemimpin* (2011), and *Kamus Peribahasa Indonesia* (2012).
