Jean-Marie Hyacinthe Quenum is a citizen of the republic of Benin. He was born on the 23rd of June 1956. He Joined the Society of Jesus, the 24th of October 1981 and studied Philosophy in the democratic republic of Congo. He studied Theology at Centre Sèvres (Paris-France) and got there a doctorate in Systematic Theology. He has taught systematic Theology in the major seminary of Chad and at the Jesuit School of Theology, Hekima College in Nairobi-Kenya. He has been a Catholic Chaplain of Kenya Science Teachers' College in Nairobi and has been for six years, the academic Dean of the Jesuit School of Theology of Hekima College. Jean-Marie Hyacinthe Quenum is interested in African Christian Spirituality and He is writing a book on this subject. He has been the Wade Scholar in Theology at Marquette University( Milwaukee -USA) in the academic year 2008-2009.
