Profesora Titular de la Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), donde cursó la Licenciatura en Antropología, Maestría en Historia Contemporánea de Venezuela y Doctorado en Ciencias Políticas. Ha sido Directora de Cultura de la UCV (1988-1992), Secretaria de la UCV (1996-2000) y Coordinadora del Programa de Cooperación Interfacultades (PCI) de la UCV. Es autora y coautora de numerosas publicaciones sobre temas históricos, culturales y sobre educación superior.
