"My mother says I was always a scribbler as a toddler. Really, I wanted to scribble sooner but I didn’t know how to sharpen my pencil yet.”

And so Stan moved on from his family’s grape farm and left for Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City. His well-sharpened pencil now neatly packed in a suitcase.

Out of that pencil came experiences that got his creative works nationally recognized as a storyboard artist, than an ad agency art director. These were followed by positions as a children’s magazine art director, humor writer/illustrator, and then designer for the “Peanuts” products.

Stan’s sensitive, appealing and sometimes edgy characters and writings have appeared on greeting cards, related paper products, mugs, children’s books, educational publications, print ads, tv, calendars and numerous consumer products.

Today, Stan is still scribbling and combines that with his creations on an iMac. The passion continues.

Stan holds a BFA degree from Chouinard/CalArts and resides in the Ashland, Oregon area, where he creates from his studio.
