Gloria was born in Frenchtown, NJ and attended the local public schools. She and her husband Bill were married on July 16, 1950. Their 3 children are: Cynthia, William III, and John. Gloria attended MCCC in PA after the children were grown. She was valedictorian of her graduating class. For many years she wrote "A Fond Look Back", a nostalgia column for the Delaware Valley News, a newspaper started by her grandfather. She became a desired speaker for various organizations and a contributor to PA Magazine. Four books of her selected columns were published. She and Bill lived first in NJ, then in PA and in GA, where she died in 1999 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
