Kathy Buchen was born in Iron Mt., Michigan in 1952. She grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin, and still lives in the Fox Valley, where she has worked as a librarian for many years. She received her MLS from UW-Madison. She has two grown children who gave her a lot of material for her books. Like her heroine, Rhiannon Nolan, she likes cozy village mysteries, long walks, M&M's, and Siberian huskies. Her latest book is Death in Holly and Ivy: a Christmas Mystery, published through Publish America in 2008. She is at work on the next Rhiannon Nolan mystery, which is Death In a Union Jack.
