Author: Craig Carpenter Downer

The author is a wildlife ecologist of diverse interests. He has defended the cause of the wild horses and worked for the preservation of the endangered mountain, or Andean, tapir. He is a prolific writer and member of the Nevada Poetry Society, having gained recognition in Nevada and California, as well as nationally and even internationally for his writings. He can recite many of his poems. He also plays the piano, is also keenly interested in musical composition and has recorded a CD composed of his original melodies.
