Nacie Joy Mackey was born and raised in Iowa; the fourth of five girls. Thoughout her childhood, reading was encouraged, and a highlight every two weeks was going to the public library. She became a fan of Jane Austen at the age of twelve when she discovered the classic "Pride and Prejudiced". Despite her enjoyment of creative writing in high school, she didn't attempt serious writing until reading fan fiction on the internet in the summer of 2001. Her early attempts to follow in the footsteps of her favorite author led to the eventual publication of "A Woman Worthy" and a year later "Regard and Regulation"; both are on sale at Lulu.com.
