She was born in East Orange, New Jersey and raised in Hillside, New Jersey. She was the youngest of four children and the last survivor of her generation of her father's side of the family. In 1998, after a thirty year determined effort, she published a 443 page comprehensive genealogy and family history which involved every relative included in both of her parent's families and their ancestors beginning in the year 1580 in Scotland. "Genealogy and Allied Family Histories 1580 – 1998." She was an avid collector of sea shells which are displayed in five tall display cabinets in her home. To her, the intricate details of each species of shell displayed God's glory magnificently. Evelyn collected pictures of tigers which she found so beautiful. Among her collection of stuffed animals, a large tiger is the "King of Beasts." She married her high school best friend when he returned home after three years of combat duty overseas during World War II.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Korszoloski and her husband, Salvatore (Sam).
