**Carl Lehmann** was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1960. Seeking his place in the world, he traveled across country, worked in the finest hotels, joined the U.S. Army, received a battlefield commission and retired after 22 years of service to his new country. Along the way, he became a citizen, graduated from college and learned to assimilate into a new culture.
He lives in the South Carolina Lowcountry where he writes a weekly column for the local daily newspaper. He is a Master Gardener and award-winning actor and director in Community Theater. (book dealer info)
